Private Saxophone Lessons
Private Lessons are essential in a students' development on the Saxophone. I am a core believer that all students learn in vastly different ways from each other, and as a private instructor i am able to take students from all backgrounds and tailor their lessons with me in a way that is fun, productive, challenging, educational and ultimately worthwhile to the student.
Besides just being a students' "teacher", i enjoy getting to know my students on a personal level and being able to share common interests and hobbies. It's important to balance the music life with the social and recreational life.
Pictured is my current student Aidan B.
After his weekly lessons, he always invites me to play chess. During this time we talk about how his lesson went, future goals, music, life and school. I have had extensive practice in my undergraduate with Saxophone performance, Music Education, Music Business and General Education to have a well-rounded portfolio and approach to teaching students in 4th grade all the way to undergraduate students.
As a private saxophone teacher, it is imperative that my students feel safe, comfortable, and are in an inclusive environment when they are learning and creating music. Because of this, i do travel to all of my students' homes and give them lessons in the comfort of their own home. I also travel to students' homes to make it easier on families who are usually busy or do not have the time to travel to somebody else's location.
I have profound knowledge on Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Saxophones combined with an in-depth knowledge of classical, jazz and contemporary playing.

*Factors that go into the length of time largely depend on the students' age, playing experience, seriousness, attentiveness and workload along with their other hobbies and schedules.

Due to the unfortunate circumstance of the 2019-2020 COVID-19 pandemic, i have had to adjust my teaching capabilities quite drastically to accommodate my many students for e-learning. Pictured here is my student Lauren having a Saxophone lesson with me over Zoom. Because of social distancing and stay-at-home orders, i am no longer able to physically go to my students' houses and teach them, but i am finding that this virtual learning is almost as efficient and successful as those in-person lessons. Students are still able to be productive and learn during these lessons and i find that because technology is so advanced, i am able to share music digitally in real time and also give precise and constructive feedback to my students as i would in-person. Many of my students are enjoying this new approach to lessons and i am still able to connect with and enjoy the company of my students miles apart.

In the event that very rare circumstances in the world cause disruptions to school or daily life so much so that lessons need to be moved digitally, as a private teacher i am able to accommodate to this and now can teach digitally. If you are also interested in lessons but live out of the state of Illinois or beyond a 30 mile radius to Lombard, IL, please let me know and we can discuss virtual lessons with professional audio / video setups.
Private Music Theory Lessons
Besides teaching and playing saxophone, i can also teach beginning to intermediate Theory / Composition lessons. If your student is interested in learning about all the technical aspects and science behind music, or wants to get better at ear training, sight-read / sight-singing, i offer the same teaching curriculum as above with slightly different rates and lesson frequency. Please email me if you are interested in Theory lessons.
